Junior C# Developer – GUI- London – Investment Banking

We run a talent development programme in conjunction with leading investment banks and global financial services companies which is aimed at recent graduates with 1-5 years of work experience.
We are particularly interested in C# GUI Developers with solid C# skills to join a leading global investment bank to design, develop and maintain GUI applications for an equities trading system. The system has a C++ core and is written in Java and runs on UNIX with an Oracle database.
This role would suit a motivated junior C# developer who enjoys coding and has a good understanding of OO programming and design concepts. An understanding of the Agile methodology would be helpful but is not essential.
You will be expected to proactively work through all aspects of the project lifecycle, performing technical analysis, estimation, design, development, unit testing and system testing in order to produce high quality deliverables. You will also be expected to help the team improve development tools to increase efficiency.
The interview process will focus upon programming fundamentals, technical skills and competencies, though we will also look for a good general knowledge of the economy and the role of financial services. You do not have to have domain experience as training will be provided where necessary during the course of the role.

Application Support - UNIX & SQL - Investment Banking - HGB 1585

A major investment bank is seeking a support analyst with a strong focus on ownership of issues and commitment to resolving them. You will be working in European Cash Execution supporting the Bank’s bespoke Direct Execution trading applications. You will be responsible for the production stability of these applications and contribute to the ongoing process improvement efforts of the team to increase system availability and supportability over time. The role covers first and second line support throughout European trading hours, and at times outside of these hours (on a roster basis) to support system upgrades and other incidents that may require resolution before the market opens.

You will come from a technical application support background. Your technical background will be based towards Unix/Linux and you will possess shell scripting skills as well as good experience with SQL. Experience with the FIX protocol is advantageous.

You will be a keen team player who is willing to learn new technologies and build a solid understanding of the business context of the applications. The successful candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a proven track record of building successful working relationships with managers and peers at all levels of an organisation.
