The role of the Camp Manager is to manage and support all staff, resources and processes to ensure the smooth running of a Super Camps site and all of its programmes. This role is paramount to the success of the camps. Reporting to your Regional Manager, description of responsibilities as follows: - Manage, direct and support staff to ensure they adhere to processes and procedures whilst the children in the care of Super Camps continually have a fun, stimulating and safe time - Ensure that quality programmes across the brands are planned and delivered with structure and enthusiasm by staff at all times - Liaise with parents in person and by phone with regard to the children's needs and feedback on any issues which arise   - Continually show respect for your Host site by managing your staff team and ensuring cleanliness and safety at all times - Liaise with Head Office, your Regional Manager and Host Site representatives with updates and queries - Prepare and lead your Site Specific Training and Set Up day (prior training offered) ensuring your site, equipment and staff are ready for the first day of camp - Manage daily administration including sign in/out of children, grouping of children into groups, timetabling and allocation of staff to timetabled activities plus other adhoc duties as required - Manage and support new starters - Effectively deal with the often unpredictable challenges within the childcare industry Requirements: Ideally educated to degree level with experience, skills and attributes as follows: - Previous management experience within a childcare/teaching/coaching environment - Previous experience working in a camp environment or similar - Good knowledge and understanding of sports/arts and crafts   - Organised with excellent face-to-face and telephone communication skills   - Confident and enthusiastic with the ability to lead and motivate a team   - Pro-active and flexible   - Candidates will ideally hold a 12hr Paediatric First Aid qualification Appointment Process: Selected Site Managers will be required to attend an interview. If selected they will also be required to compete the following training: - Online Training and Test - Unpaid Site Manager Training and Assessment Weekend located in Oxfordshire – accommodation (if necessary) and food supplied - Site Specific Training and Set-up day located at school at which you will be working. All staff attending a Set Up Day will receive a bonus to be paid upon completion on contract. Temporary Contract: School holidays. Part seasons considered On appointment all staff will be expected to complete a CRB disclosure and supply us with references In Addition… All sites require a Paediatric First Aid trained person to act as the Key First Aider on camp. Preferred candidates will already hold a 12hr Paediatric First Aid Qualification, details of which should be included in the online application form. As one of our Administrators you will play a key part in the overall organisation of centre life for both guests and staff.
Our centre administrators are vital for the smooth functioning of the centre office. If you are looking for a broad role with plenty of variety, then this role will give you exposure to many different sides of the business whilst giving you the chance to practice your French language skills.
Key Duties
With responsibility for the centre accounts, liaison with local suppliers and running the centre office, you will provide admin support to your Centre Manager and senior team. This could involve timesheets, petty cash, basic HR administration and purchase ordering. At some centres you may also be needed to take on the role of centre driver to run local errands and pick up supplies.
Training
You’ll join the PGL apprenticeship scheme for and an industry-leading package of training, support and qualifications and full training in all PGL’s admin systems will be given. You will also have a full induction to the company, its policies and be given relevant centre training. Throughout the season there will be opportunities to develop your computer skills. There are no age restrictions on our apprenticeship programme.

With the increasing numbers of 4 and 5 year olds attending our camps our Early Years programme is an integral part of Super Camps. Therefore we have a number of roles available working with our Early Years groups: Early Years Play Instructor and Early Years Manager The Early Years and Play Instructor will work alongside our Early Years Manager in being one of the points of contact for the under 8s on camp. They will lead a variety of arts and sports activities, and on occasion assist with duties that fall in line with the EYFS. Responsibilities of Early Years Manager: In addition to the responsibilities of an Early Years Play Instructor, Early Years Managers acting as the key person for all Early Years activity on camp will also be responsible for: - Setting up a Base Room/Area that is suitable and inviting to hold your sessions throughout the weeks - Creating a timetable with the planners provided and your own initiative, alongside the Site Manager - Manage the Early Years sign in/sign out area, giving feedback to parents/guardians on observations made from the day Requirements of Early Years Manager: In addition to the requirements of an Early Years Play Instructor, Early Years Managers must be educated to degree level or at a minimum Level 3 in Early Years with previous experience ideally within a supervisory role Due to Super Camps being on the Early Years Register successful Early Years Manager applicants will be required to perform certain checks to ensure they are suitable to work with this age group on camp. Early Years Managers will need to: - Provide details of 2 professional references who have known the candidate for a minimum of 12 months - Answer Suitable Person Questions to be emailed to the candidate testing knowledge of safe practices and procedures - Sign a Health Declaration form to confirm they are in good health to work with children - Obtain a Super Camps CRB at no cost to the candidate You will be guided and supported by Head Office through this procedure. Selection and Appointment Process: If your online application form is short listed you will be contacted by the Super Camps HR team who will speak to you further about your experiences. If selected, you will be required to complete an online test based on our online training programme. Following this you will be required to attend an unpaid Central Training and Assessment Day based at various locations.
